A long time operator in the Windsor food scene appears to be shutting down.

A notice on the door at Ming Wah Chinese Buffet on Tecumseh Road East states their lease was terminated.

“The Landlord of the Leased Premises hereby gives you notice that, notwithstanding previous demands, as a result of default with respect to non-payment of rent under the Lease, the lease is hereby terminated effective Wednesday, April 2, 2025, and the Landlord has taken possession of the Leased Premises,” the notice reads.

CTV News attempted to call the restaurant, but their number is no longer in service.

Ming Wah operated in Windsor for decades and was one of the few buffet style restaurants still operating across the region.
