Here are the Windsor road closures planned for Canada Day Parade

Windsor police are reminding the public that some downtown roads will be closed on Wednesday for the annual Canada Day Parade.

Road closures on July 1:

Beginning at 8:30 a.m.:

• Ouellette Ave (from Shepherd Street to Giles Blvd)

Beginning at 10:30 a.m.:

• Ouellette Avenue (from Shepherd Street to Wyandotte Street)

Beginning at 11:30 a.m.:

• Ouellette Avenue (from Shepherd Street to Riverside Drive)
• Pitt Street (from Ferry Street to Goyeau Street)

The parade begins at 11 a.m. and travels north on Ouellette Avenue from Giles Boulevard to Pitt Street before dispersing east and west on Pitt Street.

Drivers are asked to use alternate routes during this time. Police will notify the public when the roads have re-opened to traffic.
