Charges laid after stabbing victim arrives at Chatham-Kent hospital

Two Chatham-Kent men have been charged after a stabbing victim turned up at a Chatham-Kent hospital.

On March 24 around 11:30 p.m., police were called after the victim showed up at hospital with serious stab wounds. The Chatham-Kent Police Service confirmed the victim was then taken to London Heath Sciences Centre and is in stable condition.

Officers said the incident happened at an Alexandra Avenue home in Chatham while the victim was with several others, when a physical fight broke out. The victim was stabbed multiple times, CKPS said, but was able to run and get help.

A 22-year-old from Chatham-Kent and a 25-year-old from Chatham have been charged with aggravated assault. The 22-year-old was also charged with failure to comply with a probation order.
