Windsor police say a body discovered in the Detroit River in June has now been identified as a woman who went missing last December. Police say 27-year-old Rupinder Kaur, who was reported missing to the Windsor Police Service on Dec. 17, 2024, was found deceased in the water near LaSalle. Human remains were discovered by the LaSalle Police Service in the Detroit River near Fighting Island in June 2025. Following a forensic examination, police say the deceased has been positively identified as Kaur. Investigators have determined that no foul play is suspected.
