One person taken to hospital after apartment fire in west end

One person has been taken to hospital following a fire at a west Windsor apartment building.

Windsor firefighters responded to an apartment fire in the west end on Tuesday morning.

Crews were called to the 600 block of Mill Street, near Wyandotte, shortly after 10:30 a.m. for a fire on the 6th floor.

Officials said the fire was started on a stovetop. Over $100,000 in damages was sustained.

Three people were displaced and one person was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
