A retired Windsor man won $125,000 with The Big Spin instant game.

Jeffery King, 64, said he didn’t start playing the lottery until after he retired. He said he especially enjoys playing instant tickets, with The Big Spin being his personal favourite.

“When I checked my ticket at the casino and saw the words ‘Big Spin’ pop up on the screen, I was so excited,” he said. “It was definitely a big surprise, I never expected I’d win this kind of money!”

After discovering he won big, King said he immediately called his girlfriend to share the news. “She said, ‘Are you kidding me?’” he said.

King said he has several plans for his windfall, including trips to Jamaica and the United Kingdom, and saving for the future.

When asked what it’s like to win the lottery, Jeffery said “I don’t even know how to describe the feeling of winning this much money. It’s surreal! My birthday is coming up soon, and this feels like the best gift.”
