$30,000 in drugs seized from psilocybin dispensary in downtown Windsor

Windsor police have charged one person and seized $29,835 in illegal drugs from a dispensary that sells psilocybin, commonly known as magic mushrooms.

Members of the Drugs and Guns Unit (DIGS) executed a search warrant at the dispensary, located in the 300 block of Ouellette Avenue, shortly before 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

Officers seized the following:

• 217 bags of dried psilocybin
• 94 containers of psilocybin tablets
• 55 psilocybin chocolate bars
• 36 packages of psilocybin gummy bears
• 6 dimethyltryptamine (DMT) vapes
• 6 containers of dried psilocybin
• $600 in Canadian currency

A 33-year-old employee on scene at the time has been charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purposes of trafficking.
