A Calgary man is facing charges after police discovered several stolen 3D printers for sale online. Police say 20 3D printers were stolen from a home in the 4000 block of Vegas Way N.W. sometime between Friday, June 13 and Sunday, June 15. The printers, and other accessories taken, were worth more than $20,000. Shortly after the theft, the homeowner noticed the stolen items being sold online, identifiable by several unique markings. On Aug. 18, police executed a search warrant at a home in the 4700 block of Dalton Drive N.W., during which time they found 17 3D printers and six spools of printer filament. The accused, a 31-year-old man, is charged with trafficking in stolen goods over $5,000, possession of stolen property over $5,000 and failing to comply with release orders.
