Vancouver Rise FC scored three goals in a seven-minute span early in the second half to cruise to a 4-0 win over Ottawa Rapid FC on Sunday in Northern Super League action. Jessica De Filippo made it a 2-0 game in the 53rd minute minute before Latifah Abdu scored in the 58th and Josie Longhurst added another two minutes later. Audrey Francois opened the scoring in the 31st minute. The loss gave Vancouver (8-10-2) a two-point edge on Halifax for the fourth and final playoff spot in the six-team league. Meanwhile, Ottawa (10-7-3) fell short with the chance to leapfrog Toronto for second place. The two teams are tied with 33 points, but Toronto is ahead on a tiebreaker.
