Teenager found naked, shot after alleged abduction

A19-year-old man found naked and shot in Pitt Meadows Wednesday night told Mounties he’d been the victim of an abduction.

The startling incident unfolded on Sharpe Road, where officers received a complaint about the unclothed teenager around 9:30 p.m.

“He actually went up to one of the local houses, he was trying to get away from a couple people,” Insp. Dan Splinter said.

It appears the victim, who is known to police, escaped from a car that crashed into a nearby ditch.

It’s unclear who was driving but no one else was located at the scene, despite a search using the RCMP Air One helicopter and a police dog team.

Splinter said there may have been two other vehicles involved in the bizarre series of events.

The investigation is in its early stages but the RCMP believes it’s dealing with a targeted incident. Mounties haven’t said where the young man was shot but described his injuries as non-life threatening.
