Police in Vancouver are asking witnesses to come forward after a man was robbed and stabbed in the city on Tuesday night. Officers were called to the reported stabbing near Granville and Nelson streets around 10:45 p.m., the Vancouver Police Department said in a statement Wednesday. The victim was reportedly stabbed in the arm while being robbed by two suspects who stole his bag, police said. Paramedics treated the man at the scene and transported him to hospital. The suspects were last seen running south on Granville Street. Police described the first suspect as an “Indigenous male youth” with a slim build who was wearing a green jacket and black pants and carrying a black bag. The other suspect was also described as an “Indigenous male youth” with a medium build. Police said he was wearing a black hoodie and black pants at the time of the attack. The violent robbery was the second such incident publicized by the Vancouver Police Department on Wednesday. An earlier news release announced that one man had been arrested and another was still at large after a teen was robbed and slashed with a knife on Granville Street early last month. Investigators are asking anyone who witnessed or recorded either incident to contact police.
