Shots fired at Abbotsford home while residents asleep inside: police

An overnight shooting in Abbotsford last week left bullet holes in a home and the vehicles parked in its driveway, but police say no one was injured.

Officers were called to the 2500 block of Terminal court just before 3:30 a.m. on Sept. 5 for reports of shots fired, according to a statement from the Abbotsford Police Department.

“Upon arrival, officers found that multiple vehicles parked in a residential driveway, as well as the front of the home, had been struck by bullets. Thankfully, the residents who were asleep inside at the time were not injured,” the statement said.

The motive remains under investigation, police added.

Investigators with the major crimes unit are asking anyone who was in the area at the time who “witnessed suspicious activity” or who has dash-cam video to call 604-859-5225.
