RCMP search for prolific offender in the Kootenays

Mounties are asking the public to keep an eye out for a prolific offender in the Kootenays.

Creston RCMP say 41-year-old Thomas Robert Linthorne is wanted in relation to multiple outstanding criminal charges, including possession of a weapon and fleeing from police.

He has also allegedly breached court-ordered release conditions.

Further charges Linthorne is facing include:

• Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking
• Unauthorized possession of a non-firearm
• Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
• Multiple counts of failing to comply with a probation order
• Two counts of flight from police while operating a motor vehicle
• Driving while disqualified
• Dangerous operation of a conveyance
• Driving while prohibited or while licence suspended

Linthorne is described as 6′0″ tall and 275 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.

Anyone who sees him is being told not to approach, and to call 911 immediately.

Creston RCMP are asking anyone with information on his whereabouts to call them at 250-428-9313.
