Police are investigating after an alleged knifepoint robbery unfolded at a business in Surrey Wednesday morning. The Surrey Police Service told CTV News that the armed robbery took place around 11:30 a.m. at a retailer inside the Payal Business Centre on 128 Street. Authorities said a “small amount of jewelry” was stolen during the incident and no injuries were reported. “SPS frontline investigators were on scene, taking statements and processing the scene,” Sgt. Ali Gailus said in a statement. “There is no update on possible suspects currently and the investigation is ongoing.”
