One person was injured and two homes were damaged in a fire at a mobile home park in West Kelowna, B.C., on Sunday night. Crews were called to the 2000 block of Highway 97 at about 9 p.m., West Kelowna Fire Rescue Assistant Chief Trevor Bredin said in a statement. Two fire engines, two safety officers and a command unit were sent to the scene. They arrived to find a “fully involved detached shed on fire,” which firefighters quickly extinguished. The shed was situated between four mobile homes, and two of them suffered damage to their exterior, according to the fire department. One resident suffered minor burn injuries, Bredin added. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
