Surrey police are investigating after a pedestrian was seriously injured in a hit and run Thursday. The incident happened at 11:24 p.m. at the intersection of 88 Avenue and Nordel Way. A vehicle hit two pedestrians and one of them, a man, was transported to hospital in critical condition with life-threatening injuries. Police say the driver fled the scene and abandoned the vehicle a short distance away from the crash. Police confirm to CTV News the car was abandoned in a nearby shopping complex on 88 Avenue, which had been cordoned off with police tape. Police are now investigating to determine the cause of the collision. The road was closed for several hours as police remained on scene.
