Shots fired at Surrey home, extortion not suspected

Police are investigating after shots were fired in at a home in Surrey's Cloverdale neighbourhood on March 12, 2026.

A home in Surrey was struck by gunfire early Thursday morning and the motive for the shooting is not yet known, according to authorities.

Officers were called to a home on the 19500 block of 65 Avenue in the Cloverdale area just after 4:30 a.m., the Surrey Police Service said in a statement.

“Upon arrival, police located multiple shell casings. A residence was damaged as a result of the shooting, however fortunately nobody was injured,” the statement from police said.

“While the motive for the shooting is still under investigation, it doesn’t appear this incident is related to the ongoing series of extortions in Surrey.”
