Mounties say a cyclist was hospitalized after an alleged hit-and-run near Vancouver International Airport. Police say they were called to Grant McConachie Way on Thursday at around 10 a.m. after hearing reports of a grey SUV colliding with a cyclist near the on-ramp to Russ Baker Way. The driver of the SUV “did not remain on scene after the collision,” and hasn’t come forward, according to police. The cyclist was hospitalized and treated for their injuries and has since been released, police say. “The incident occurred in a high-traffic area on the way to the Vancouver International Airport, and Richmond RCMP are looking to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the incident that morning,” police said in a release. “Richmond RCMP also want to remind drivers of their moral and legal responsibility to remain at the scene of a collision.” Mounties say they’re hoping to speak with the drivers of a black Tesla and a “green vehicle with a stripe in the middle,” as they say these drivers may have seen the cyclist get hit by the grey SUV.
