Cat rescued from house fire in Burnaby, B.C.

Burnaby fire crews put out a blaze in a home near Burnaby Mountain Golf Club Friday night, rescuing one of the family's pets in the process.

Firefighters could be seen rescuing a cat from a house fire in Burnaby Friday night.

The feline was one of two animals and five people inside the home in the 7900 block of Woodhurst Drive near Burnaby Mountain Golf Club.

At least five fire trucks responded to the scene, and BC Hydro crews were also present.

No injuries have been reported, and the cause of the blaze is under investigation.
