The search for the owner of a plush pink donkey left behind on a BC Ferries vessel has reached a happy conclusion. “Churro the Burro,” as the stuffed animal came to be called by staff, was lost on the Salish Raven during a sailing between Victoria and the southern Gulf Islands last Thursday. BC Ferries posted about the donkey on social media in hopes its rightful owner would come forward, and shared the adventures it got up to on the ship in the meantime. In an update Monday, the ferry company shared that Churro’s family had been found. According to BC Ferries, the donkey belongs to a five-year-old boy named Alife, and was a gift from his grandma purchased in Mexico. It says Alfie and Churro will be reunited later this week.
