Man charged after allegedly filming woman ‘underneath her skirt’ at Richmond Hill shopping mall

A 30-year-old man has been charged after allegedly following two women with a cellphone and filming one of them “underneath her skirt” while at a shopping mall in Richmond Hill earlier this week.

In a news release, York Regional Police say the incident happened on Thursday in the area of Yonge Street and Carville Road after reports that a man, previously recognized by the store’s loss prevention team, had returned.

Police say while inside the store, the man was seen “following two females while holding a cellular phone,” adding that “he was then observed bending down behind one of the females and appeared to be filming underneath her skirt.”

When officers arrived, they say they arrested and charged 30-year-old Nicholas Rossinski of Richmond Hill.

He was charged with voyeurism and criminal harassment.

The charges have not been tested in court.

Police say they believe there may be more victims.
