A 37-year-old man from Toronto has been charged in connection with a suspected hate-motivated threatening investigation in Scarborough. Toronto police say on July 17, a man got into an argument with another person in the area of Orton Park Road and Brimorton Drive. He then and allegedly sent that individual an email “threatening violence towards members of the Muslim community.” Investigators say the victim was targeted because of their Muslim faith. Rohoman Leo Drepaul, 37, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with uttering threats and intimidation. The charges have not been tested in court. Drepaul was scheduled to appear in bail court on July 20.
