Suspect sought after girl, 8, sexually assaulted inside Scarborough store

The suspect is described as 20-30 years of age, with eyeglasses.

Toronto police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with the sexual assault of an eight-year-old girl.

It happened on May 12, just before 4 p.m., in the Finch Avenue East and McCowan Road area.

According to police, the suspect approached the girl inside a retail store, where he sexually assaulted and followed her.

The man then allegedly grabbed the child, who alerted her family.

When the suspect was confronted by a family member, he fled the area on foot.

He is described as 20 to 30 years old and wearing eyeglasses.

He was last seen wearing a green Nike baseball hat with a white swoosh, a long-sleeved green t-shirt, and black track pants with white lettering down the left leg.
