Be sure to plan accordingly this weekend, with a major road closures planned, along with a TTC subway closure and service adjustment for several GO train lines. Starting Friday at around midnight, TTC subway Line 1 between Finch and Sheppard-Yonge stations will be closed for planned signal work, until end of service on Sunday. Shuttle buses will be available, as well as Wheel-Trans services upon request. The stations will be open for customers to buy or load PRESTO cards or tickets and connect to surface routes. Regular subway services will resume on Monday, Sept. 28. Bloor Street closure planned for Sunday Bloor Street will be closed on Sunday, between Bay and Bathurst streets, starting at 9 a.m. and finishing at 12 p.m., for the Bloor Street Mile run. A partial road closure is also expected in the northbound lanes of Avenue Road between Bloor Street West to Cumberland Street and southbound lanes of Avenue Road from Bloor Street West to Lowther Avenue from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Several GO lines closed for the weekend There are service alerts for several GO lines this weekend. Planned service adjustments will impact service on the Stouffville line this Saturday and Sunday. There will be no train service between Old Elm and Union station for planned construction. GO bus route 71C will run direct between Union Station Bus Terminal and Unionville GO, and then will be making all stops to Old Elm GO. GO bus route 71E will run direct between Union Station Bus Terminal and Unionville GO, then make all stops to Mount Joy GO. Planned construction is also taking place on Lakeshore East line this Saturday and Sunday. GO trains will be available on an hourly schedule between Durham College Oshawa and Ajax GO. GO buses will run between Ajax and Pickering GO then direct to Union Station Bus Terminal. There will be no GO Transit service at Rouge Hill, Guildwood, Eglinton, Scarborough or Danforth GO.
