Police conduct early morning raid of North York townhouse

Toronto police are searching a townhouse complex in North York following an early morning raid on Monday.

Squad cars and officers arrived at 35 Adra Villaway, near Leslie Street and Sheppard Avenue East, shortly before 6 a.m.

A CTV Toronto photojournalist filmed seven armed police officers wearing helmets entering the home and examining the garage.

Toronto Police Const. Jennifer Sidhu would not provide details, saying the raid was part of an ongoing investigation.

She said the raid was related to a series of "vehicle entries" in the area, and that police would issue a statement later on Monday or Tuesday.
