Pedestrian struck and killed by limo on highway 427

The photo shows the 427 NB express lanes after a pedestrian was struck and killed on May 9.

The OPP say a man has died after being struck by a limo on Highway 427 near Dundas Street in Etobicoke.

Police received the call around 4 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

The limousine struck a 38 year old man, according to OPP.

Express lanes on Highway 427 were closed at Dundas Street for several hours.

OPP say the limo attempted to move out of the way to avoid hitting the pedestrian but was not able to do so in time.

None of the occupants in the limo were injured.

There is still no word on why the man was walking on the highway.
