A man is wanted after police say two people were seriously injured in an assault near Rosedale subway station early Monday morning. Toronto police said officers responded to reports of a person with a knife at Rosedale Station at around 2:45 a.m. Investigators allege a man stole a fire extinguisher from inside the station before leaving and approaching two people nearby. The victims tried to flee, but one fell to the ground and was then assaulted, said police. They said the second victim attempted to intervene and was also assaulted. Both victims were taken to the hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening, injuries. The suspect fled the area before officers arrived. Police have identified him as Logan Cachene, 21, of no fixed address. He is wanted on numerous charges, including aggravated assault, theft under $5,000, assault, and failure to comply with a release order. Police describe the suspect as five-foot-seven with a heavy build, short, curly black hair, and a black goatee. Anyone with further information is asked to contact Toronto police or Crime Stoppers.
