A 71-year-old man is facing charges in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a victim multiple times over the span of five years in Etobicoke, while the victim was a youth. Toronto police said they responded to a call on the evening of Oct. 7, shortly after 7:50 p.m., in the area of Bloor Street West and The East Mall. Police said the suspect met the victim while working at a church in the area of Bloor Street West and Kipling Avenue. Police allege the accused drove the victim to his home and sexually assaulted the victim there. The victim escaped the residence and contacted police. Investigators allege the assaults spanned from 2021 until 2026. In a news release issued on Tuesday, police said they arrested Paul Conn of Toronto. Conn has been charged with three counts of sexual interference with a person under 16, four counts of sexual exploitation of a young person and five counts of sexual assault. The charges have not been tested in court. Investigators say there may be more victims and shared an image of the accused. Police are asking anyone with additional information to contact them or to reach out anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
