A man has been charged after one person was assaulted at a North York gas station over the weekend. Toronto police say officers responded to a call shortly after 11 a.m. on Sunday in the area of Yonge Street and Poyntz Avenue. Police allege the suspect arrived at a gas station and, for unknown reasons, assaulted the victim before fleeing. In an email to CTV News, police said the assault was targeted but that the suspect and the victim were not known to each other. Adrian Allen, 25, of Toronto, was later arrested and charged with assault with a weapon and aggravated assault. The charges have not been proven in court. The investigation is ongoing, and police are asking anyone who witnessed the assault or has video recording of the incident to contact investigators.
