An e-scooter rider is critically injured following a collision with a parked car overnight in North York, according to police. The collision happened at around 1:40 a.m. in the area of Driftwood Avenue and Jane Street. Toronto Police said an e-scooter struck the open door of a parked car. Paramedics said the person driving the e-scooter was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police said the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene. Driftwood Avenue is closed in both directions east of Jane Street, police said, urging drivers to consider alternate routes at this time.
