According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), the system producing a possible tornado is located 10 kilometres northeast of North Battleford and is moving east at 50km/h towards the community of Keatley. 1:40 p.m. According to an alert from ECCC around 1:40 p.m. Friday, meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm that is possible producing a tornado. The weather agency advised those in Cut Knife and surrounding communities to take cover if threatening weather approaches. ECCC said damaging winds, large hail and locally intense rainfall are possible, noting the situation is very dangerous and potentially life-threatening.
