A nurse has been charged in connection with an alleged assault of a child with special needs. In April, police launched an investigation after they were called with a report of alleged mistreatment of a child with special needs. Officers said the allegations involved a registered nurse who was to take care of the child. They added that there was sufficient evidence to believe that the child was physically assaulted under the nurse’s care. Jennifer Robin Pye, 51, has been arrested and charged with assault. Further details will not be released to protect the identity of the child.
