A western Saskatchewan village is experiencing a community-wide water outage. The Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency issued an alert at around 11:19 a.m. for the Village of Medstead on Tuesday. “The cause of the disruption is currently unknown and is under investigation,” the alert read. “Water service is unavailable throughout the community. There is no estimated time for service restoration at this time.” The SPSA instructed residents to conserve any remaining water supplies for essential purposes only and keep all taps turned off until further notice. Additionally, it asked residents to obtain water from alternate sources and use it wisely, while also continuing to monitor SaskAlert, municipal communications and local media for updates regarding the outage. “Please follow all directions provided by Village officials as they work to address the situation,” read the alert.
