Saskatchewan RCMP are asking the public to help find a 34-year-old man who escaped police custody on Wednesday. Police say Joshua Meszaros fled police around 3 p.m. on Aug. 19 – while being transferred from the Biggar RCMP detachment to a police vehicle. He had been arrested earlier that day for allegedly breaching a release order condition and driving while prohibited. RCMP searched the area with the help of a police dog and a remotely piloted aircraft system, but Meszaros was not located. Later that day, officers received a report of a stolen motorcycle from a home in Biggar. Police say a black-and-blue CRT 250 motorcycle with Rockstar Energy Drink stickers was stolen around 5 p.m. Meszaros is now facing charges including escaping lawful custody and theft under $5,000. A warrant has been issued for his arrest. He is described as five-foot and 10 inches tall, weighing around 215 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. RCMP advises residents to not approach Meszaros if he is spotted, and to report him to police immediately.
