Inmate serving manslaughter sentence escapes Saskatchewan Penitentiary

An inmate currently serving a sentence for manslaughter escaped lawful custody when being transported by staff from the Saskatchewan Penitentiary.

Keiston Custer, 30, is five foot 10 and 181 pounds, with a medium complexion, brown eyes, and black hair. A warrant for his arrest has been issued following his escape on Feb. 20.

Custer is currently serving a sentence of 10 years and two days for manslaughter, use of a firearm, punishment of a rioter and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact police.
