Saskatchewan RCMP arrested a speeding semi driver earlier this month after he was found to be intoxicated. According to a post on social media Friday, officers saw a semi-trucking carrying large concrete slabs travelling 136 km/h in s 100 km/h zone on Highway 1 in the southwestern part of the province. Officers found the driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was driving under the influence of alcohol, leading to his arrest. The driver was charged with impaired driving, his vehicle was impounded for 60 days, and his licence was suspended until his court case is complete. RCMP remind drivers these types of infractions put everyone at risk.
