SaskPower and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) have signed a new deal. A tentative agreement was reached with IBEW local 2067 in June. It has now been approved by union members during a province-wide vote and SaskPower’s executive and board of directors, according to an update from SaskPower on Thursday. “We are incredibly grateful for the work of IBEW Local 2067 members who ensure that Saskatchewan residents have access to reliable and affordable power every day of the year,” Minister Responsible for SaskPower Jeremy Harrison said in the update. “Thank you to both bargaining teams from IBEW Local 2067 and SaskPower for their professionalism and commitment in reaching this agreement.” The three-year deal, which is retroactive to Jan. 1, 2026, includes general wage increases of two per cent in each year of the agreement. The previous agreement expired on Dec. 31, 2025. The IBEW Local 207 makes up 45 per cent of SaskPower’s workforce, providing frontline operation and maintenance of the Crown corporation’s transmission, distribution and generation functions, SaskPower said.
