Portion of Highway 39 closed near Weyburn following serious collision

Officers are on scene of a “serious collision” on Highway 39, according to RCMP.

Officers with the service’s Weyburn detachment responded to the crash, located approximately 11 kilometres southeast of Weyburn.

All lanes are closed, with debris being reported on the road.

“As this investigation is in preliminary stages, we do not have additional details to share at this time,” the service said in a news release at 3:11 p.m. Monday.

RCMP say the highway will be closed for an undetermined amount of time – and that commuters should expect delays in the area.
