Two men are facing an attempted murder charge following a Regina police investigation that began in April. Officers were patrolling around Dewdney Avenue and Argyle Street around 1:50 a.m. on April 12 when they saw an injured man on the sidewalk, according to an update from the Regina Police Service (RPS) on Friday. Police provided first aid until EMS arrived and took the man to hospital for serious injuries. RPS Major Crimes Unit investigators, along with the Forensic Identification Unit and Canine Unit executed a search warrant shortly after 2 a.m. on the 1400 block of Elphinstone Street. Several people were found inside the home, with some taken into custody on outstanding warrants, RPS said. Following further investigation, police arrested and charged two men in relation to the incident. A 31-year-old man and a 37-year-old man were both charged with attempted murder and commission of an offence for a criminal organization. The 37-year-old was also charged with breach of a release order. Both men appeared in Regina Provincial Court this week.
