The Regina Police Service (RPS) is investigating a weapons offence after a man was found with what appeared to be serious injuries early Saturday morning. At approximately 1:50 a.m. on April 12, 2026, officers were patrolling around Dewdney Avenue and Argyle Street when they located an injured man on the sidewalk. Police say he was suffering from multiple lacerations. According to a Tuesday news release, officers provided first aid at the scene until EMS arrived. The man was then transported to the hospital for the treatment of his injuries, which RPS described as serious-looking. The Regina Police Service Major Crimes Unit, Forensic Identification Unit, and Canine Unit were called in to assist with the investigation. Shortly after 2:00 a.m., investigators followed up on information that led them to a residence in the 1400 block of Elphinstone Street, where a search warrant was carried out. Police say multiple people were found inside the home. At this time, no charges have been laid and the investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
