Both the Artesian and the Exchange have fallen victim to cyberattacks this month. The recent cyber hack shut down both websites, run by local web design company Squareflo. In the case of the Artesian, Artistic Director Leah Erenberg said they are switching to another local web designer, StratLab, citing that SquareFlo did not have enough protection in place for the website as well as a backup plan in the event of a hack. The Artesian posted on the site about the temporary shutdown, saying all shows are still on and the new site will be up and running soon. The Exchange’s website displays a similar message, citing the technical difficulties due to the hack and encouraging patrons to contact them via their other channels. The Exchange was not available to comment before deadline on whether they have decided to stick with SquareFlo or pursue another web design company.
