Colter Wall announces ‘indefinite hiatus’ from touring

Saskatchewan singer Colter Wall has cancelled the rest of his U.S. tour, due to his mental health.

Saskatchewan country music star Colter Wall is taking a step back from the limelight – cancelling all of his upcoming live performances.

Wall made the announcement on social media Wednesday morning. In the brief statement, Wall described the effect touring has had on his mental health and the need for a break.

“The truth is that I am mentally unwell. Despite this, I have pushed myself to continue touring. As a result, my mental health has only declined further,” the statement read.

“After discussions with my team, we have decided to cancel the remaining shows and take an indefinite hiatus from live music.”

In his statement, Wall said tickets will be refunded automatically from original point of purchase.

Wall’s four upcoming shows in Indianapolis, Cincinnati and Detroit from March 11 to March 14 appeared to be cancelled as of 10 a.m. Wednesday, according to listings on Ticketmaster.

Wall, the son of former Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall, released his debut EP, Imaginary Appalachia, 2015.

Since then Wall has released five albums: Colter Wall (2017), Songs of the Plains (2018), Western Swing & Waltzes and Other Punchy Songs (2020), Little Songs (2023), and Memories and Empties (2025).

His music has appeared in films such as Hell or High Water and Three Billboards Outside Ebbings, Missouri and the television series Yellowstone.
