Frosty morning with peaks of sunshine and the chance for thunderstorms this afternoon

CTV London Meteorologist Julie Atchison has your full weather forecast.

After a cold start, we’re waking up to sunny skies Tuesday, but cloud cover and the chance for some showers make up the afternoon forecast.

“It’s frosty out there this morning. We had that frost advisory in effect. Temperatures not quite as cold tonight as it was last night,” said CTV London Meteorologist Julie Atchison. “We have the rain coming in late this afternoon into the evening, potential for some thunderstorms.”

Atchison says we have quite a bit more rain in the forecast for tonight and through the overnight.

“Overcast conditions expected for Wednesday,” said Atchison. “Still some scattered, light showers around, so we’ll leave in … a low probability of some scattered showers as we head into Wednesday.”

Atchison says we’ll stay cool through the week, with highs around the mid to low teens, but a much warmer weekend is in the forecast.

Tuesday: Sunny. Increasing cloudiness in the afternoon then 40 per cent chance of showers late in the afternoon. High 13. UV index 7 or high.

Tuesday night: Cloudy. 40 per cent chance of showers in the evening. Showers beginning near midnight. Risk of a thunderstorm overnight. Amount 10 to 15 mm. Wind becoming south 20 km/h after midnight. Low 10.

Wednesday: Cloudy with 60 per cent chance of showers. High 15.

Thursday: Cloudy. High 14.

Friday: A mix of sun and cloud. High 20.

Saturday: A mix of sun and cloud with 30 per cent chance of showers. High 22.
