A 50-year-old man is facing charges in connection to an alleged sexual assault under the Mackenzie King Bridge two months ago. The Ottawa Police Service said an assault took place on Colonel By Drive, in the area beneath the bridge, between 11 p.m. and 12 a.m. on March 28. The assault was subsequently reported to police. On Wednesday, police said officers identified the suspect, and he was charged on Monday. Police say the investigation is ongoing. “Investigators believe there could be additional victims,” police said. “Police are asking anyone who may have been driving along Colonel By Drive during that time and has dash cam footage, or anyone who was in the area and may have witnessed anything suspicious, to come forward.” Anyone with information is asked to contact the Ottawa Police Service Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 5944.
