A man is a millionaire after playing the slot machines at the Casino du Lac-Leamy in Gatineau, Que. Loto-Quebec says Jonathan Robert Anderson was visiting the area last Thursday when he went to the casino. Anderson won $2.2 million playing the Monte Carlo slot machine. “When he saw the amount displayed on the slot machine, he couldn’t believe his eyes,” Loto-Quebec said in a statement. “The attendants, happy to validate such a win, were quickly able to confirm that he had become a millionaire!” Anderson called his wife and parents to share the news he was now a millionaire. Loto-Quebec says Anderson is considering buying a bigger house but plans to return to work. This is the second time this spring someone has won more than $1 million at the Casino du Lac-Leamy. In April, someone playing poker in the Poker Room lost a hand with four 10s, winning the “Bad Beat Jackpot.” The holder of the “bad beat hand” won $1.005 million from the “Bad Beat Jackpot,” while the winner, who had a straight flush, received $502,711, according to Loto-Québec. The agency says the other six players at the table won nearly $84,000, while the other 38 players in the lounge each won just over $13,000.
