Severe weather warnings lifted for Ottawa

Environment Canada has lifted a severe thunderstorm watch and warning for Ottawa, after severe weather moved through the national capital region.

The weather agency issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Ottawa just after 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, warning conditions were “favourable” for the development of severe storms. A severe thunderstorm warning was issued at 2:03 p.m., as a system moved across the Ottawa Valley and the City of Ottawa.

All warnings were lifted by 3:30 p.m.

The forecast calls for partly cloudy tonight with a 40 per cent chance of showers. Low 12 C.

Friday will see a mix of sun and cloud. High 25 C with the humidex making it feel like 28.

The outlook for Sunday calls for mainly cloudy with a 40 per cent chance of showers. High 31 C.
