The Ottawa Charge will play 13 games at Canadian Tire Centre this season, starting with the home opener on Sunday, Dec. 6. The Professional Women’s Hockey League released the 2026-27 schedule on Friday, with a record 180 games between Saturday, Dec. 5 and Sunday, April 18. There will be new Eastern and Western Conferences for the 12 teams, with an expanded eight-team playoff format to determine the Walter Cup Champion. The Charge will play in the Eastern Conference, with the Boston Fleet, PWHL Hamilton, Montreal Victorie, New York Sirens and Toronto Sceptres. Each team will play 30 regular-season games, including 18 within its conference. According to the PWHL, each team will visit a PWHL city at least once. The Charge will kick off the season on Dec. 6 against the Toronto Scepters at Canadian Tire Centre. The schedule includes a three-game home stand between Jan. 17 and Jan. 27 at the Canadian Tire Centre, and the club playing five of their final six games at home. “What’s especially exciting is the opportunity to finish the season with six of our final eight games at Canadian Tire Centre. We want to make CTC a place our players love playing, and our opponents hate coming into,” Charge head coach Carla MacLeod said in a statement. “After back-to-back trips to the Walter Cup Finals, we understand how hard it is to get there—and there’s absolutely some unfinished business for our group. The Charge will also face expansion PWHL Hamilton and New York Sirens four times, while the Charge and Toronto Sceptres will meet three times. The Charge will face Hamilton in the first home game for the expansion PWHL Club in Hamilton on Dec. 13.
