Porter Airlines is launching non-stop flights connecting Ottawa with Windsor, Sudbury and Kelowna this spring. According to Porter Airlines, Ottawa-Windsor non-stop service will launch May 1, with seven flights weekly. Porter will also launch Ottawa-Sudbury non-stop service on May 1, with seven flights weekly. “Beginning May 1, service in Sudbury (YSB) and Windsor (YQG) moves to Ottawa from Toronto City, providing travellers with non-stop access from these cities to Porter’s growing hub in the national capital and greater connectivity across North America,” Porter Airlines said in a statement. Starting May 13, Porter Airlines will offer non-stop service between Ottawa and Kelowna, with five flights a week. Porter also announced it will increase service on the non-stop Ottawa-Winnipeg route to 12 times a week. Escape to Cancun Ottawa travellers will also be able to fly from the Ottawa International Airport to Cancun this summer. Porter Airlines says it will extend its service between Ottawa and Cancun through the summer, with three flights a week. “Porter is the only airline offering travellers access to sun destinations from Ottawa this summer,” the airline said. Flying to U.S. destinations Porter Airlines is launching new non-stop flights from Ottawa to Miami and Phoenix this winter. Porter launched non-stop service from Ottawa to Miami this week, with three flights a week. The Ottawa-Phoenix flight will launch on Feb. 7, with three flights a week.
