Police seize weapons, suspected cocaine during Lanark County investigation

Ontario Provincial Police say an intimate partner violence investigation in Lanark County resulted in the seizure of several weapons and suspected cocaine.

Officers were investigating an incident in Montague Township just before 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Police say several weapons and suspected cocaine were seized at the scene. A photo released by Ontario Provincial Police showed more than a dozen weapons that were seized.

A 24-year-old man is facing several charges, including assault causing bodily harm, mischief, uttering threats and possession of a schedule 1 substance.

Police said the name of the accused will not be released to protect the identity of the victim. The suspect was scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.

The investigation continues, according to police.
