The Ottawa Police Service is seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect who allegedly robbed a Kanata bank last week. Police say a man entered a financial institution in the 400 block of Hazeldean Road at approximately 5:40 p.m. on Jan. 14. The suspect allegedly approached the counter, indicated that he was armed and demanded money from staff. He was given an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene, police say. He was last seen running east up a pathway from the bank. The suspect is described as a white man, approximately 6 feet 3 inches (1.91 m), approximately 170 pounds (77 kg), with brown eyes. His face was fully masked. He was wearing a red jacket with a hood up, black pants, black shoes with white soles and a red Metro grocery bag.
